Een veel voorkomend euvel bij horloges is dat na een harde klap of val de wijzerplaat ervan afbreekt, deze zitten met pootjes op het uurwerk bevestigd, welke na een val kunnen afbreken. De plaat komt hierdoor los in de kast te zitten, waardoor de assen waar de wijzers op zitten vast komen te lopen en het horloge stopt.
Tot enkele jaren geleden was hiervoor geen adres welke deze pootjes weer geheel als nieuw kon herstellen, en werden wijzerplaten daardoor vaak geheel vervangen, de dure optie. Sinds 2017 verzorgen wij pootreparatie van wijzerplaten voornamelijk voor de vakhandel. Menig horlogemaker, zowel uit Nederland als daarbuiten weet Century-time hiervoor te vinden. Met lasertechniek worden de pootjes onzichtbaar weer gemonteerd, waarvoor veelal gebruik wordt gemaakt van 14karaat goud

Kastherstel
Lasertechniek is breed inzetbaar deze wordt ook gebruikt bij het restaureren van horlogekasten.
Bij ernstige schade aan een stalen of gouden kast kunnen delen hiervan opgevuld worden door toevoeging van bijvoorbeeld roestvrijstaal, zilver of goud en vervolgens afgewerkt worden.

Century-Time performs a wide variety of services on quartz, mechanical, and digital watches. Here’s a brief list of our top watch repairs:
GENERAL MOVEMENT SERVICE (OVERHAUL)
Overhauls involve complete disassembly of the watch case, which includes ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly. The overhaul process varies depending on whether the watch is quartz or mechanical. For mechanical movements, we install new mainsprings whereas quartz movements receive replacement batteries. After that, we inspect all other interior elements and issue substitutions as needed. Before we put the movement back together, we conduct a thorough cleaning as well as refinishing. Once we reassemble the movement, we seal the stem along with the crown, and then replace the case back gasket. Upon completion, we conduct a series of tests over a 72 hour period. During that time, we evaluate the watch’s accuracy, water resistance, and functionality. If your watch passes inspection, then we ship it back to you. Otherwise, we attempt to fix any additional maintenance issues.
CRYSTAL REPLACEMENT / REPAIR
A broken watch crystal renders your timepiece unwearable. Luckily, Total Watch Repair handles crystal replacements! We carry manufacturer issued crystals, generic plastic or mineral glass, and scratch-free sapphire crystal. Want a custom made crystal? CROWN REPLACEMENT
A watch crown is the button you use to wind your timepiece. Attempting to wind a watch with a broken crown may cause significant internal damage, so do not attempt to fix the problem yourself. Instead, let the TWR team install a replacement crown. Your new crown will protect the watch from water damages while restoring its original appearance.
PUSHER INSTALLATION
Pushers are small dials or buttons that typically appear on quartz and complex chronograph watches. When they break down, your watch becomes vulnerable to water damage. If you have a nonfunctional pusher, send your watch to TWR!
WATER PRESSURE TESTING
Century-Time will make sure that your waterproof or water resistant watch lives up to its title. Water pressure testing is a must any time the watch case is opened for inspection or repairs. We automatically conduct a water pressure test on any watch labeled as water resistant or waterproof. You may also purchase this examination separately.
BAND REPAIR

POLISHING AND PRECISION CLEANING
Watches get dirty and scratched from daily use. We begin the process by polishing and buffing your timepiece. After that, our ultrasonic cleaning machine removes visible surface irregularities so your watch looks good as new!
HAND RESTORATION AND REPLACEMENT
TWR has a huge inventory of watch hands, so we will be probably be able to find the exact match for your timepiece (including vintage models). We also restore the hands’ luminosity at no additional charge.
DIAL REFINISHING
Watch dials eventually deteriorate through fading, chipping, and the like. This is especially true for vintage or antique timepieces. Total Watch Repair’s dial refinishing process restores this highly visible part back to its original condition! A certified technician utilizes a special machine that carefully repaints the dial.
